"Diplomat of Chinese Traditional Culture" Global Artist Gan Lin

 甘霖(名秉明,字霖,号巴翁、云樵、缙云山人、滔石斋主),五零年生于重庆,国家一级美术师,国家书法专业评委之一,世界华人艺术家联合会理事,中国书画家协会副理事长,海峡两岸和谐文化使者,中日文化特使,国内数所大学特聘教授,三峡地域书画代表人物,近现代书法领域毕生摸索求变,大胆创新,笔墨 颠覆的当代书法集大成者,重庆大渝书画院名誉院长。

五岁启蒙,曾临名帖,事非专科,学无师承,诸体兼修,行草见长,工善词赋,擅书巨幅。字无媚态,书显侠骨,行笔似风,用墨节滞。高腕长毫,纵横使转,青年时期凸显大家风范,业界素有“百年大家”、“当代唐伯虎”、“东方行草王”等众多美誉,更被推为“中国巨幅行草第一人”。

性高骨傲,飘逸洒脱,重情讲义,淡泊名利,不随时流,匠心独标。改革初期加入书法家协会后,开始其独特的艺术人生道路。几十年遍游华夏山川河岳,与自然对话,共天地同眠。潜行民间,博众家之长,纳华夏精髓,展书留墨。其个性张扬,秉志迥异,学古不泥古,敢与古人平等对话。

Gan Lin (Ming bing, zi Lin, Hao ba weng, yun Qiao, Jin yun shan, Tao Shi Zhai Zhu) was born in Chongqing in 1950. he is a national first-class artist, one of the national calligraphy judges, a member of the world association of Chinese artists, a vice-chairman of the Chinese artists association, a messenger of harmonious culture across the Taiwan straits, a special envoy of Chinese and Japanese culture, a representative of Chinese and Japanese universities in China, a representative of the three Gorges region calligraphy and painting, a master of modern calligraphy who explored and changed his life in the field of modern calligraphy, innovated boldly and subverted ink, and an honorary president of Chongqing da Yu calligraphy and painting institute. At the age of five, he was enlightened. He was once a famous writer. He was not a specialist. He did not have a teacher to learn from. He was good at all kinds of sports and was good at running grass. He was good at words and fu, and was good at books. The words are not coquetry, the books are chivalrous, the strokes are like the wind, and the ink is used sparingly. As a young man, he displayed great style. The industry has many good reputation such as "100-year-old master", "contemporary Tang Bohu" and "king of oriental cursive" and has been promoted as "the first person in China's giant cursive industry". He is proud of his character, elegant and free, attaches great importance to his teaching materials, is indifferent to fame and wealth, does not flow at any time, and shows originality. After joining calligrapher's association at the beginning of the reform, he began his unique artistic life. For decades, I have traveled to the mountains and rivers of China, talked with nature, and slept with the world. Sneaking among the people, absorbing the essence of China, displaying books and keeping ink. His personality is conspicuous, his disposition and ambition are quite different, he does not learn from the past and dares to talk with the ancients on an equal footing. The 58-year-old came out of the mountain due to binocular disability. There are many collections of giant cursive works in China, and the domestic media have paid much attention to and reported many times. Special artistic consultant of the General Network with Chinese Characteristics, special visiting professor of many universities in China, and "An Interview with China's Great Artist-Gan Lin" has been featured on nearly 100 television stations across the country. Shandong TV Station's "Everyone Famous" column came to Chongqing for an exclusive interview, and the 20-minute documentary Shandong was shown many times. In 2010, a joint exhibition of 100 famous military officers and 100 famous calligraphers and calligraphers won the gold medal of the conference at the China Military Museum in Beijing. In the same year, he wrote "Fu of Science and Technology" for the 70th anniversary celebration of Beijing University of Science and Technology.
